The choice was somewhat taken away from me by my colleagues at SalesVision launching our own Blog, where I rashly agreed to be a member. Website Analysis – Website Presentation Questions

We are working with a company on designing a new website for our company. We sell an enterprise level facility and maintenance software solution. The software includes so many features and applies to so many industries and in so many different ways. I understand you can’t be everything for everybody. The goal of the website is to inform the user and entice them to contact us for a demo/sale.

Multiple Company Website Addresses

What is the benefit of having multiple URLs? Our business has several. . .our main website url, 2 or 3 affiliated sites that we manage.

I’ve been tasked with determining:

  • do we want to purchase additional URLs that we will maintain with content?
  • do we want to purchase additional URLs that we can redirect to our website?

Does anyone have experience with this? What are the benefits of maintaining all of these URLs beyond our own main site? And. . . is it worth the cost to purchase/license URLs that we won’t maintain but would only redirect?

10 Year Anniversary Ideas For A Bank

I am a Marketing Director for a local community bank in Boise, Idaho and we will be celebrating our 10th anniversary the whole month of October, 2006. I need some ideas on what we could do for this month that will draw customers to come in and open new accounts, because that is what we need right now. Please provide any ideas you might have. Our website is www.idahobankingco.com and if you look at the website you will see we are different from other banks in terms of our image. We are “the art of banking” and I always use terms like “Banking at its Finest” in ads and such.
