Creating a Website – Saving Money!
Did you ever hear that outsourcing may save you a lot of time and money? That’s very true: if you don’t know how to cook, but need to organize event with food, you will hire a catering service. If you are not a professional security guard – you will not take care of the security of your venture. You will hire professional security guards. But for some reason everyone thinks that they know how to make websites, disregarding the fact that it’s a knowledge which you don’t learn overnight. And even over two or three nights.
If you are not a professional web developer, you may not know a lot of details that are crucial for effective work of a website. I can’t stress it enough, it’s very important that any website is done by or under supervision of a professional web developer. Otherwise a lot of money and – what’s even worse – time can be wasted for a website that is not going to work properly.
Let’s play a little game. I will ask you questions, and you answer sincerely – no peaking and looking for the answers online. What we need – is to determine if you are ready to even start working on your own website. Now, this is for you. I don’t require you to send me a proof of all positive answers. Attract Customers & Price Svcs W/o Giving Too Much Info?
I provide a packaged service that includes website critique and wide range of marketing ideas but is designed to meet the needs of each client. The work can be per hour or based on project.
- best source of fee for services which include marketing and research and website critique (some websites more complex so don’t want to give one fee for say a project fee for complete service if some websites more complex and time consuming to critique than others)
- as part of service provide short consultation for free and a needs assessment
- how do I promote buy in without providing too much information (e.g., sample of other site and/or feedback material) that client could use to do the work that I propose? Maybe provide one sheet from feedback form?

I’m looking for some advice on email marketing tools. The small company I work for is in the process of updating our website and would like to offer an e-newsletter to our visitors. Later this year, we would like to offer a free and pay membership program for our customers. I would like to use this database to send emails and specific promotions to our customers.

This question is for a new web company recently launched – www.wearport.com. The site sells custom configured, logo’ed apparel. For order fulfillment, it utilizes the supply chain of sister-company businesses upstream in the space. My biggest uncertainty is how much money should I plow into marketing. We are not first to market w. this concept. We have completed a usability assessment and are making revisions to put the site in the top tier vs. competition.
